  1. National Senior Citizen Day - Morning Session

    August 21, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Register Of Deeds Office

    August 21st, 2019 is National Senior Citizen Day! The Burke County Register of Deeds office will be having a Family History Time Capsule Activity event for Seniors (age 55 and up). Each session can accommodate 15 participants. Participants will create a time capsule, while capturing their family history to pass down to their family. Each participant will be given a plastic storage container and materials to create their family tree, however, they should bring pictures and any other items they would like to include in their time capsule. Suggestions include, but is not limited to the following: letter to family, something they made, something from their childhood, current dated coin, and so forth.
